Bravo Sony BRAVIA.

Very rarely does an advert make me stop what I'm doing and stare in amazement. I think the last time that happened was with the Honda Cog advert, but lately it's been the Sony BRAVIA advert - you know, the one with the bouncy balls cascading down the streets of San Francisco. The beauty of those images is only intensified by the brilliant sound track - Heartbeats by José González. The Sony site linked to above has loads of information on the making of the ad. Did you know they used 250,000 balls in the making and that not one single frame of CGI was used. There are also links to Flickr galleries showing some of the damage done by the balls.

Simple, yet stunningly effective. Inspired.
