The Feeling.

The BBC are counting down the top five Sound of 2006 artists at the moment and today, The Feeling have been announced at number three. I've never heard of them before but I think they sound great. On their website they quote their influences as being: Supertramp, Queen, ELO, 10cc, Beatles, Beach boys, Carpenters, Jelly Fish and ABBA. On their MySpace site they say that:
"We're pop ... but more in the '70s sense." Like The Raspberries or, more recently, Jellyfish, The Feeling are premier exponents of nouveau soft-rock.
I downloaded their first single - Fill My Little World - from iTunes and I love it. I will definitely be buying their album when it comes out and if they play at Northumbria Students' Union, I'll go and see them too!

Update: You can find the full list here.
